Brindisi Terminal Italia S.p.A.

Brindisi Terminal Italia S.p.A., was established in December 1998 to develop the Costa Morena Area into an international container terminal. Freeport Terminal Malta p.l.c. and Papalini Partecipazione srl each own a 40% shareholding whilst Commune di Brindisi holds the remaining 20% of the shares.

In the centre of the Mediterranean the Brindisi Terminal enjoys a prime position when compared with other Adriatic ports. It is indeed strategically located to attract business from both the Italian Adriatic coast and countries in the Balkan area.

Brindisi Terminal, located on the southern tip of Italy, in addition to its serving the domestic market, it is also being marketed as a home port: a gateway to the southern Italian region. Market research demonstrates Puglia recording amongst the highest import/export figures in Southern Italy, with Brindisi recording the most promising results, thus substantially widening the Costa Morena business horizons.
